what's the matter? it's obviously not empty. and anyway, you should always keep an empty bottle in your fridge... in case someone comes to visit who's not thirsty.

Was visiting a friend in the USA. And I bought a bottle of wine, we went away for 3 days visiting other people. His son slightly still underage to drink in the US, emptied the bottle of wine, and really just left the rim of the wine maybe a sixth of a wine glass in the bottle... I found it hilarious, and told him if he wanted to drink the wine he should just have emptied the bottle and throw it away. He was like "but there is still wine in it, I didn't drink it all". so I reassured him it was fine to just empty the bottle, but a courtesy drop isn't necessary!
