Felix the Railway Cat
It will make you laugh and it will make you cry: Felix The Railway Cat is the extraordinary tale of a close-knit community and its amazing bond with a very special cat.
When Felix arrived at Yorkshire's Huddersfield Train Station as an eight-week-old kitten, no one knew just how important this little ball of fluff would become. Although she has a vital job to do as 'Senior Pest Controller', Felix is much more than just an employee of TransPennine Express. Felix changes lives in surprising ways.
She is always ready to leap into action and save the day: from bringing a boy with autism out of his shell to providing comfort to a runaway child shivering on the platform one night. So when tragedy hits the team at Huddersfield, it is only Felix who can pull them back together.
But a chance friendship with a commuter that she waits for her on the platform every morning finally gives Felix the recognition she deserves, catapulting her to international stardom . . .

Purrfectly Charming True Tale
I never would have run across this book if it had not be recommended on a UK Crime FB page. I was on crime overload, and, as a cat fancier and cat mom, I was immediately hooked. Felix's tale begins, when as part of a litter of 5, she becomes a railway cat at the Huddersfield station once she is old enough to leave the litter, at 8 weeks. As the story unfolds, Felix wins the hearts of employees, commuters, travelers, and (nearly) everyone she meets. Her antics, her empathy, her beauty, her day to day job as "pest-controller" are a joy to read. Be prepared to laugh, shake your head in wonder, and shed some tears. It is not a sad book, it is one of affirmation. It delivers hours of pure enjoyment. I have pre-ordered the further tale, Full Steam Ahead, and cannot wait for July to read it!
Heartwarming and lovely
After following Felix on Facebook for a couple years, I finally bought her first book and am so glad I did. My daughter and I have enjoyed reading it together. It has given me a better understanding and appreciation for Felix and her Huddersfield Station colleagues. The book tells how the station decided to get a station cat, how Felix became that cat, and how Felix has impacted her colleagues, railway customers, and fans around the world. I only wish there were more pictures of Felix in it. I heartily recommend this book. It is a great read and Felix is a great cat and colleague.
Great Take Control Working Cat Story
A real story about a real working cat at a train station in England. A very unforgettable story of a kitten growing up greeting passengers and becoming a much loved Icon for the Huddersfield Station. Book one of two.
Purr-fect heartwarming tail
I'm a cat owner. The biography of Felix the Railway Cat could only be written by a cat person. From the antics of kittenhood too queen make for a fun tale of a truly loved moggy. I didn't want too put the book down. It definitely shows how close the bonds of human and pet can become.
A Charming Gift for Cat lovers, Railway Fans and Anglophiles
This is such a fun book. It tells the story of a much loved station cat. This is a delightful read for cat lovers, railroad buffs, and anyone who enjoys a very British story. As I read, I became very involved in the lives of Felix and all the humans who keep things moving at her very busy station. I am so glad that I have come to know Felix and her friends. The reader can also follow Felix's posts on Facebook.
What a delightful true story!
I began following Felix on Facebook in June 2016 just as the world got to hear of her. What a treat to read of Felix's day to day exploits at Hudderfield Station and her community involvement. Sales of this book are a prostate cancer fundraiser! Buy a copy and be delighted!

This is a wonderful story of a kitten who is adopted by the Huddersfield railway station. The book follows her adventures as she adjusts to living in the station amongst the people who work there and the railway patrons. The book will make you laugh and make you cry. A Testament to the Value of Animals
Any cat lover will enjoy this book, but what is unique about this story is how Felix, just by being herself, positively affects people of all ages and walks of life, many of whom were not particularly fond of cats. The proceeds from sales of this book are donated to prostate cancer research.
Cat Takes Train
I happened upon the town accidentally. I found the book, read it on the way back to America. It was wonderful. A good cat story.
